Dolezel throws seven TD passes as Desperados remain unbeaten

Mar 27, 2007 - 4:17 AM ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Clint Dolezel and the Dallas Desperados keep on rolling.

Dolezel threw seven touchdown passes as the Desperados pulled away for a 70-49 victory over the Orlando Predators.

The quarterback completed 23-of-28 attempts for 230 yards and no interceptions while Will Pettis caught 12 passes for 108 yards and six scores for Dallas (4-0).

The Desperados broke open a close game with three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. They led, 49-42, when Pettis hauled in a one-yard scoring strike for a 56-42 lead. Just under three minutes later, Bobby Keyes scored on a 30-yard interception return to increase the lead to 63-42.

The Predators pulled within 63-49 when Jerrian James caught a one-yard touchdown pass from Shane Stafford, but Dallas sealed the triumph when Pettis returned a kickoff 58 yards for a score with just 1:37 left in the fourth quarter.

Stafford completed 23-of-42 passes for 276 yards and James had 116 yards on 11 catches for Orlando (2-2).
