WINNIPEG 30, EDMONTON 23 ------------------------

WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Ticker) -- Fred Reid scored on a four-yard run with just over one minute to play in the fourth quarter, lifting the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to a 30-23 victory over the Edmonton Eskimos.

Winnipeg trailed, 23-22, before Reid capped a 53-yard drive with 1:18 remaining. Kevin Glenn completed the two-point conversion try with a pass to Jamie Stoddard.

The Eskimos could not get past the Winnipeg 41 on their ensuing drive, giving the Blue Bombers the win.

Reid finished with 16 carries for 93 yards, while Glenn completed 18-of-26 passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns with one interception for Winnipeg (5-8).

Edmonton quarterback Ricky Ray threw for 434 yards and two touchdowns, including the 145th of his career to break Warren Moon's club record. Maurice Mann caught the record-breaking score from 13 yards out midway through the third quarter.

Ray completed 36-of-43 passes and threw one interception.

The Eskimos (7-6) held an early 8-0 lead before the Blue Bombers rallied to take a 14-9 advantage at the break.

Winnipeg led by as many as 12 points early in the third quarter, but Edmonton came back and took the lead on Ray's 44-yard touchdown pass to Fred Stamps with 4:02 remaining.
