THOUSAND OAKS, California (Ticker)- Jim Furyk is the leader at 5-under 139 entering Saturday's third round of the $5.75 million Chevron World Challenge.

Furyk shot a 1-under-par 71 Friday to move two shots in front of K.J. Choi, Anthony Kim and Camilo Villegas.

Fred Couples and Steve Stricker are three strokes back at 2-under.

The first-round leader, Furyk was bogey-free until No. 18 when he failed to make a 10-foot par putt after finding the greenside bunker on his approach to the par-4.

Until the miscue on the final hole Furyk was error free, making birdies on the ninth and 16th hole. The 16th hole was his first birdie on a par 5 in 10 chances.

Choi was at 5-under early in his round but made two bogeys and a double-bogey on the front nine. He rallied on the back nine with a 33.

Villegas had the low round of the day, shooting a 67 to move to 3-under.

The season-ending tournament, hosted by Tiger Woods and benefiting his foundation, features a 16-player field.
