Diamondbacks' Owings, Upton leave game
Apr 26, 2008 - 10:58 PM SAN DIEGO (Ticker) -- Arizona Diamondbacks righthander Micah Owings and right fielder Justin Upton left Saturday's game against the San Diego Padres due to injury.Owings left in the fifth when he suffered a right ankle sprain while running the bases. He was replaced on the bases by pinch runner Robby Hammock, who gave way to reliever Brandon Medders to start the sixth.
Upton exited the contest in the top of the seventh with a leg cramp he suffered trying to beat out a ground ball. He was replaced in both the field and lineup by Jeff Salazar.
