Reds RHP Harang to have MRI exam on forearm
Jul 9, 2008 - 11:54 PM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Cincinnati Reds starter Aaron Harang returned to the Queen City on Wednesday to undergo an MRI exam on his sore right foreman.Harang was roughed up for six runs on five hits and a career-high seven walks over 4 1/3 frames in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to the Chicago Cubs, but he reported that his foreman was not bothering him during that game.
The 30-year-old Harang, who was slated to pitch against the Washington Nationals on Saturday, had his start pushed back to Tuesday after complaining that his forearm was stiff.
A 16-game winner in each of the past two seasons, Harang is just 3-11 with a 4.76 ERA this campaign. Since making a rare relief appearance during an 18-inning game in San Diego on May 25, Harang has posted a 1-5 record with a 7.31 ERA.
Harang's next scheduled start is against the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday.
