Reds RHP Fogg hit in face during BP
Jul 22, 2008 - 11:41 PM CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- Cincinnati Reds pitcher Josh Fogg received 30 stitches to his upper lip after being hit in the face with a ball during batting practice prior to Tuesday's game against the San Diego Padres.Reds' rookie first baseman Joey Votto was taking his swings when Fogg was hit The righthander walked off the field with a towel over his face. Fogg, who was scheduled to start Friday, will be re-evaluated Wednesday.
The 31-year-old Fogg is 2-2 with a 7.09 ERA in 14 games - seven starts - this season.
