Cardinals Molina leaves game with thigh bruise

LOUIS (Ticker) -- St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina left Wednesday's game against the Chicago Cubs in the fifth inning with a left thigh bruise.Molina suffered the injury in the second inning when Chicago pitcher Ted Lilly crashed into him while trying to score on a ground ball to shortstop.
Lilly knocked Molina over while being tagged out. The Cardinals' catcher winced in pain as he picked himself off the ground.
He continued until the top of the fifth when he came out in favor of Jason LaRue.
