NY Yankees (88-72) at Boston (94-66) 1ST GAME, 1:35 p.m. EDT

Mike Mussina will try and become a 20-game winner for the first time when the New York Yankees meet the Boston Red Sox in Game One of a day-night doubleheader on Sunday.

Mussina (19-9, 3.47 ERA) has won 19 games in a season three times during his 18-year career.

"The Moose" will try and accomplish that feat against the Red Sox, who are gearing up for the postseason. Boston opens the playoffs on Wednesday at the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Mussina has won each of his last two starts to put himself in position to reach the milestone, including Tuesday when he threw five scoreless innings in a victory over Toronto.

The Red Sox will counter with Daisuke Matsuzaka (18-2, 2.80), who has not lost since July 28.

Matsuzaka has won each of his last two starts, including September 21 when he threw seven scoreless innings against Toronto.
