MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Milwaukee Brewers center fielder Mike Cameron will be with his team for Saturday's Game Three of the National League Division Series even though his wife underwent an emergency surgery on the previous day.

Cameron left the team early Friday when he discovered that his pregnant wife was forced to undergo an unexpected C-section in Atlanta, delivering a baby girl.

Despite the surprise birth of his child, Cameron was able to return to the team on Saturday, and is expected to be in the lineup as Milwaukee will attempt to overcome a two-games-to-none deficit against the Philadelphia Phillies in the best-of-five series.

"Yesterday his wife unexpectedly has an emergency C-section, and everything is fine," Milwaukee interim manager Dale Sveum said. "(He) got on a plane this morning and just got here a few minutes ago. So everything is great, and he's ready to go."

Playing in the postseason for the fourth time in his 14-year career, Cameron is hitless in seven at-bats with three strikeouts so far.

A three-time Gold Glove winner, the 35-year-old hit .243 with 25 home runs and 70 RBI in 120 games during the regular season.
