Royals sign RHP Duckworth
Nov 10, 2008 - 11:49 PM KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- The Kansas City Royals signed righthander Brandon Duckworth and sent him outright to Class AAA Omaha on Monday.Duckworth, 32, went 3-3 with a 4.50 ERA in seven starts with the Royals last season. In Omaha, he went 5-11 with a 4.75 ERA in 27 appearances.
The eight-year veteran is 23-34 with a 5.34 ERA in 134 career games with the Philadelphia Phillies, Houston Astros and Royals.
