Indians name Hernandez bullpen coach
Nov 19, 2008 - 3:15 PM CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- The Cleveland Indians on Wednesday named Chuck Hernandez as the team's bullpen coach.Hernandez, 48, spent the three previous seasons as the pitching coach of the Detroit Tigers. He held the same position for the Tampa Bay Rays from 2004-05 after serving as franchise's minor league pitching coordinator from 1997-2003.
Entering his 31st season of professional ball, Hernandez pitched for five seasons in the minor leagues with the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox organizations.
