Tigers sign IF Santiago to one-year deal
Dec 12, 2008 - 9:22 PM DETROIT (Ticker) -- The Detroit Tigers on Friday agreed to terms on a one-year contract with infielder Ramon Santiago.Financial terms were not disclosed for the deal, which allowed the Tigers to avoid arbitration.
Santiago batted .282 with four home runs and 18 RBI in 58 games last season.
In seven seasons, including two stints with Detroit, Santiago has a career .238 batting average with 10 homers and 79 RBI.
