Brewers non-tender LHP Capuano
Dec 12, 2008 - 11:55 PM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Milwaukee Brewers on Friday non-tendered lefthander Chris Capuano.The team and Capuano will continue to negotiate.
A budding star after posting an 18-12 record and 3.99 ERA in 2005, Capuano made the National League All-Star team the following year and started the 2007 campaign 5-0 before failing to earn a win in his final 22 appearances, finishing with a 5-12 record and 5.10 ERA.
Capuano, 30, missed the entire 2008 season after undergoing "Tommy John" surgery. He is 42-48 with a 4.39 ERA in 124 career games - 116 starts - over five seasons.
