Braves agree with IF/OF Norton
Dec 19, 2008 - 9:12 PM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Braves on Friday agreed to terms with utility man Greg Norton on a one-year contract.Financial terms were not disclosed.
Norton, 36, led the major leagues with three pinch-hit home runs, 18 pinch RBI and 17 pinch walks last season. For the season, he posted a .262 batting average with seven home runs and 35 RBIs in 117 games with the Braves and Seattle Mariners.
Norton has appeared in 1,012 games with six clubs and owns a .252 career batting average with 89 home runs and 303 RBIs.
