In their first appearance in the postseason, the Tampa Bay Rays have made a splash, clinching a spot in the American League Championship Series with a 6-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Monday. In the ALCS, the Rays now will face the Boston Red Sox, who escaped with a dramatic 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Monday. Tampa Bay won 10 of 18 games this season against Boston, its AL East Division rival. The Red Sox won just once on the road against the Rays.
