Toronto Blue Jays

Team Report

RHP A.J. Burnett, who can opt out of his contract after the
season, may have pitched his last game with the Blue Jays. The
hard-throwing righthander allowed two runs - one earned - and
seven hits in eight innings. He held a 6-3 record and a 2.58
ERA in 10 career starts against the Yankees entering Wednesday's
play, including a 3-1 mark with a 1.78 ERA in four outings
against them this season. He fell short of his fourth win
against New York but came off the mound to a standing ovation in
what could have been his last start with Toronto.
