Heat's Wright undergoes surgey

Mar 3, 2008 - 11:36 PM MIAMI (Ticker) -- Miami Heat forward Dorell Wright underwent successful surgery on his left knee, the team announced Monday.

The surgery, a one-hour, 15-minute procedure, was performed by team physician Dr. Harlan Selesnick at Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables.

Wright will miss the remainder of the regular season and will be in a straight-leg brace for one month. He will begin rehabilitation immediately.

Wright was injured with 9:40 remaining in the second quarter of Sunday's 120-109 loss to the Sacramento Kings.

Currently in his fourth NBA season, Wright has appeared in 43 games for the Heat this season and has averaged 7.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
