ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Score one for No. 2 over No. 1 in the first professional meeting between Michael Beasley and Derrick Rose.
Beasley, the second overall pick in last month's NBA draft, scored 28 points in 23 minutes Monday as the Miami Heat trounced Rose and the Chicago Bulls, 94-70, in the Orlando Pro Summer League
Rose, the top pick in the draft, had 10 points in the loss.
Beasley, who played his one season of college basketball at Kansas State, was in action despite a fractured sternum suffered in his first practice last week.
The game also marked the debuts of Vinny Del Negro as Bulls coach and Erik Spoelstra as coach of the Heat.
