Heat claim F Jones off waivers
Aug 5, 2008 - 10:24 PM MIAMI (Ticker) -- The Miami Heat on Tuesday claimed forward Bobby Jones off waivers.The 6-7 Jones played in 47 games last season with five different teams, including the Heat, averaging 3.8 points and 2.0 rebounds. He also averaged 2.5 points and 1.3 rebounds in 44 games with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2006-07.
A second-round pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2006, Jones will aim to secure a spot on the roster with Miami, which finished with the worst record in the NBA last season.
