Heat F Jones has wrist surgery
Oct 20, 2008 - 8:32 PM MIAMI - Miami Heat forward James Jones underwent successful surgery on Saturday to repair a ruptured extensor tendon in his right wrist.On Monday, the team announced that Jones was expected to be out three months following the procedure, which was performed by Dr. Ann Ouellette at Doctors Hospital.
Jones, who was signed as a free agent on July 9, suffered the injury in last Wednesday's practice.
Last season Jones appeared in 58 games for the Portland Trail Blazers and averaged 8.0 points and 2.8 rebounds.
