ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Orlando Magic shooting guard Mickael Pietrus could be lost for more than month with a torn ligament in his right thumb, according to a published report.
Pietrus suffered the injury in Wednesday's 96-94 victory over Philadelphia.
The Orlando Sentinel reported Saturday that Pietrus will be sidelined three to five weeks.
A former first-round draft selection, Pietrus is averaging 12.9 points and 3.7 rebounds for the Magic (12-4).
J.J. Redick is expected to start in his place.
