Nets G Harris rests hamstring vs. Heat
Jan 4, 2009 - 1:35 AM MIAMI (Ticker) -- New Jersey Nets guard Devin Harris sat out Saturday's game against the Miami Heat to rest his strained right hamstring.Harris helped lead the Nets to a 93-91 overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night. He collected 26 points and 11 assists in the triumph.
However, Harris apparently is resting the ailing hamstring Saturday with New Jersey playing on consecutive nights.
Harris, 25, has had an All-Star-caliber season, making the Nets' decision to acquire him from the Dallas Mavericks for Jason Kidd look good. The quick point guard has averaged team highs with 23.7 points and 6.6 assists in his first full season in New Jersey.
