Lakers F Walton out at least two weeks
Jan 5, 2009 - 8:35 PM EL SEGUNDO, California (Ticker) -- Los Angeles Lakers forward Luke Walton will miss a minimum of two weeks with a right foot injury, the team announced Monday.After being examined by a foot specialist, Walton was diagnosed with sesamoiditis, inflammation that occurs on the bottom of the foot.
Walton, who will wear a protective boot for a week and begin non-weight bearing exercises in the pool, is averaging just 3.4 points in 23 games this season.
The Lakers (27-5) own the NBA's best record.
