Suns release G Brown

Jan 6, 2009 - 7:15 PM PHOENIX (Ticker) -- Dee Brown's tenure with the Phoenix Suns lasted less than two weeks.

The Suns released the backup guard on Monday after he averaged 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in just two games with the team.

Phoenix signed Brown on December 24 after he saw action in 17 games with the Washington Wizards to start the season.

Taken by Utah in the second round of the 2006 draft, Brown saw action in 49 games with the Jazz during his rookie season, then spent the 2007-08 campaign playing in Turkey.
