Warriors G Jackson out two weeks
Jan 7, 2009 - 7:55 AM SAN FRANCISCO (Ticker) -- Golden State Warriors swingman Stephen Jackson will miss two weeks with a strained right hamstring, a team spokesman told the San Francisco Chronicle on Tuesday.Jackson's injury came at an awkward moment in Monday's 119-114 loss to the Utah Jazz.
With 5.1 seconds left in the first half, Utah's Deron Williams ran around several screens en route to a tear-drop shot in the lane with three-tenths of a second remaining. Jackson came up limping after the play and did not return.
The Warriors' captain is averaging 19 points and a team-leading six assists in 30 games this season.
It is the second minor injury for Jackson, who missed four games from December 19-23 with a sprained left hand.
Golden State has lost its last three games but currently sits in third place in the Pacific Division with a 10-26 record.
