Curry makes season debut for Knicks

Jan 9, 2009 - 2:33 AM DALLAS (Ticker) -- New York Knicks center Eddy Curry made his season debut on Thursday against the Dallas Mavericks.

The 6-11 Curry missed the first 33 games of the season due to a right knee injury.

Curry entered the game with 2:38 remaining in the first quarter. Little more than a minute later, he grabbed a defensive rebound and hit a layup at the other end of the floor.

Curry is the second-highest paid player on the team, making approximately $9.7 million.

Stephon Marbury makes $21 million and he has not played at all this season. The point guard is no longer with the team while trying to negotiate a buyout.
