The Pistons are hoping that by Tuesday they will be able to 
re-sign F Antonio McDyess, who was sent to Denver as part of 
last month's deal for G Allen Iverson.  Once he does return, 
McDyess will continue being a reserve. "If everything goes 
through and we sign Dyess before the next game, I got him coming
off the bench the next game," coach Michael Curry said.  "It 
helps me knowing a sure commodity is coming off the bench."  ...
While Curry is hopeful of what McDyess will add, F Tayshaun 
Prince took a cautious approach to addressing the pending move: 
"We don't know what to expect from him just yet," Prince said.  
"Obviously once he gets into game shape, we know what he's going
to bring to the team.  But Dyess is not the answer.  The energy 
and level of play is the answer.  If we think Dyess is going to 
come in and save us, he's not." ... This is the earliest Detroit
has reached eight losses since the 2000-01 season.  ... G
