Team Report
Last Game: 104-97 win at New York, December 2 Streak: Won 5 Next Game: at Washington, December 3 While reserves F Travis Outlaw and G-F Rudy Fernandez had big nights on the offensive side, C Joel Przybilla also drew some praise for his defensive efforts against New York's pick-and-roll offense. "They're very good in pick-and-roll offense and they're good at executing that," Portland coach Nate McMillan said. "We had to make some adjustments and basically those calls, those reads were on our bigs and Joel did a nice job of not only defending on the perimeter but rotating and defending the basket. ... Przybilla played 25 minutes, 38 seconds and, when he was on the court, Portland outscored New York by seven points and over his last eight games, he is 22-of-25 from the floor. ... Rookie C Greg Oden had a rough night as scored just two points on 1-of-5 shooting. ... Portland is 6-0 against Eastern Conference opponents, and that is its best start against the East since 1990-91 when it won its first 12 games. ... Former Knicks F Channing Frye made his second return to New York and did not score in five minutes.
