Kentucky F-C Patterson undergoes surgery
Apr 2, 2008 - 7:07 PM LEXINGTON, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Kentucky freshman forward Patrick Patterson underwent surgery recently to repair a stress fracture in his left ankle, the school announced Wednesday.Patterson's procedure to stabilize the ankle was performed by Dr. Robert Anderson on Friday, and the freshman is expected to be sidelined four to six months.
The 6-8 Patterson was the Southeastern Conference's top freshman prior to suffering the injury in February, averaging 16.4 points and 7.7 rebounds.
Also on Wednesday, the school announced that sophomore guard Jodie Meeks is exploring the possibility of surgery for a sports hernia.
