Kentucky F Harris released from hospital
Dec 4, 2008 - 11:27 PM LEXINGTON, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Kentucky forward Ramon Harris was released from the hospital Thursday, less than a day after colliding head-to-head with teammate Michael Porter during a game.Harris was chasing after a loose ball during Wednesday night's 103-61 victory over Lamar when he banged heads with Porter. Both players fell to the ground, and Harris was taken from Rupp Arena on a stretcher.
A junior, Harris was taken to UK Chandler Hospital, where he stayed overnight for observation. He was released Thursday afternoon with what the school called a "blow to the back of the head."
The 6-7 Harris, who is averaging 8.7 points in six games this season, has been listed as day-to-day.
Porter missed Thursday's practice due to swelling over his left eye. The junior received 10 stitches to repair a laceration near the eye.
