Kentucky G Porter returns to practice, F Harris still out
Dec 6, 2008 - 1:42 AM LEXINGTON, Kentucky (Ticker) -- While Kentucky guard Michael Porter returned to practice Friday, teammate Ramon Harris did not after the pair endured a nasty collision in Wednesday's 103-61 victory over Lamar. The duo collided while chasing a loose ball, causing Porter to receive 10 stitches to a laceration over his left eye. Harris suffered a blow to the back of his head.
Porter was cleared to practice but had swelling above his eye and is questionable for Saturday's game vs. Miami.
Harris, who was released from UK Chandler Hospital on Thursday, has not been cleared to practice and is wearing a protective cervical collar.
According to the Wildcats' medical staff, Harris can resume basketball activities once muscular pain in his neck and back are resolved.
The team expects the forward to play again this season, with a timetable for his return to be determined upon further testing.
