Davidson G Paulhus Gosselin to miss West Virginia game
Dec 9, 2008 - 11:18 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- No. 22 Davidson will be without starting guard Max Paulhus Gosselin for Tuesday's matchup with West Virginia in the Jimmy V Classic due to Southern Conference policy. The senior guard is suspended from the non-conference meeting at Madison Square Garden after getting ejected for a flagrant foul in the first half of the Wildcats' 72-67 victory over North Carolina State on Saturday.
While the NCAA does not have an automatic suspension for any player ejected from a game unless it is for fighting, Southern Conference rules do call for a one-game ban for any player that is tossed from a game.
The 6-6 Paulhus Gosselin has averaged 3.7 points and 3.9 rebounds in seven games while being considered the team's top defender.
