Kentucky F Harris has neck brace removed
Dec 12, 2008 - 11:31 PM LEXINGTON, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Kentucky forward Ramon Harris had a protective neck brace removed Friday, nine days after a scary collision with teammate Michael Porter. The junior stayed overnight for observation on December 3 at UK Chandler Hospital following the injury. Harris and Porter collided while chasing a loose ball against Lamar, leaving Porter with 10 stitches over his left eye and Harris taken off the court on a stretcher.
The 6-7 Harris, who is averaging 8.7 points in six games this season, began rehabbing what was described by the school as a "blow to the back of the head" last week.
Further testing revealed all normal results, allowing him to return to basketball activity once muscle soreness subsides.
No one has shouted yet.
