Oklahoma women G Plumley suspended
Jul 18, 2008 - 12:07 AM NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Oklahoma on Thursday suspended junior guard Jenna Plumley from the team indefinitely.Details were not disclosed.
"There had been ongoing concerns with Jenna that culminated in a meeting within the last two weeks," Sooners coach Sherri Coale said. "During that meeting, a plan was outlined for what our program expected from her. She has not met those expectations.
"I am concerned for Jenna and want to proceed in a way that is in the best interest of her education and our team. This is an unfortunate situation, but I am hopeful that it will produce the best results in the long run."
Plumley started all 31 games last season as a sophomore, averaging 7.8 points, 3.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds. She also had 61 steals but shot just 33 percent from the field.
