Ole Miss DT Laurent has surgery
Jul 29, 2008 - 10:58 PM OXFORD, Mississippi (Ticker) -- Mississippi sophomore defensive tackle Ted Laurent underwent arthroscopic knee surgery, the team announced Tuesday.Laurent's procedure at the Oxford Surgery Center was to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee. There is no timetable for his return. The 6-foot, 303-pounder appeared in seven games as a true freshman last season and was expected to start at nose tackle.
"We hated the injury happened to Ted, but we're glad the surgery has fixed the problem," first-year Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt said. "We can't wait to have him back on the field with us."
