CLEMSON, South Carolina (Ticker) -- Jeff Davis on Friday was named assistant athletic director for player relations on Dabo Swinney's Clemson football staff.
Davis has been with Clemson for the last six years as an assistant athletic director in fund raising.
"Jeff Davis is a great resource and I want him involved in this football program on an every day basis," said Swinney, who became Clemson's interim coach Monday when he replaced Tommy Bowden. "Jeff will be involved in many areas of our program. He is a great role model for our young men."
Davis was the MVP of the ACC and a first-team All-American linebacker on Clemson's national championship team in 1981. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame last year.
