Colorado RB Stewart out for regular season with broken leg
Nov 2, 2008 - 2:32 AM COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) -- Colorado running back Rodney Stewart broke his right leg in Saturday's 24-17 loss to Texas A&M and will miss the remainder of the regular season.Stewart, the Buffaloes' leading rusher, sustained a broken right fibula with five minutes remaining in the second quarter when he was horse-collar tackled by Aggies linebacker Von Miller.
Colorado director of media relations Dave Plati confirmed the injury after the game.
Stewart, one of the top freshman running backs in the country, rushed for 622 yards and a touchdown in nine games this season for Colorado (4-5).
