Fresno State heading to New Mexico Bowl

Dec 4, 2008 - 7:12 PM ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (Ticker) -- Fresno State has accepted a bid to play in the third annual New Mexico Bowl.

This marks the second consecutive bowl game for the Bulldogs (7-5, 4-4 WAC) and their seventh postseason game in eight years.

"This is tremendous for the New Mexico Bowl," New Mexico Bowl executive director Jeff Siembieda said. "Fresno State is an exciting team with a fantastic history and should provide a great game."

The game will be played on December 20 at University Stadium on the University of New Mexico campus.
