Florida RB Rainey injures knee
Jan 9, 2009 - 3:37 AM MIAMI (Ticker) -- Florida running back Chris Rainey suffered a right knee injury late in the first half of Thursday's BCS championship game.Florida's leading rusher, Rainey suffered the injury with 3:31 remaining in the first half. The redshirt freshman received a screen pass from Tim Tebow and ran up near the left sideline before getting his knee caught under him while being tackled.
Rainey was writhing in pain along the sideline before being taken to a trainer's table behind the bench. He was carted to the locker room just before halftime and likely will not play in the second half.
