Giants CB Ross to rest injured shoulder
Sep 22, 2008 - 9:07 PM EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- New York Giants cornerback Aaron Ross will use the team's upcoming bye week to rest an injured shoulder.Ross left Sunday's 26-23 overtime victory over the Cincinnati Bengals after being injured while making a tackle. He did not return for the Giants' first defensive possession in the overtime period.
Ross had his 2007 rookie season marred with shoulder issues, and this most recent injury has yet to be officially diagnosed.
"It's a reoccurring thing," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Monday. "I think he's got enough time (before the next game) to hopefully get over that."
Coughlin would not say Ross' injury is chronic, and also stated the shoulder isn't popping out of the socket.
No one has shouted yet.
