NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner apparently enjoys playing in the Georgia Dome.

Turner highlighted the NFL weekly awards on Wednesday, winning the NFC's Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks.

Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown earned the corresponding honor in the AFC.

Philadelphia Eagles safety Brian Dawkins and San Diego Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie were the respective Defensive Players of the Week in their conferences. The special teams honors were awarded to New York Giants kicker John Carney and Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee.

Turner, who also captured the award after his 220-yard rushing performance in Week One, ran for 104 yards and a career-high three touchdowns in Sunday's 38-14 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

A five-year veteran, Turner became the first player in NFL history to have a 200-yard rushing game and three-touchdown performance in his first three contests with a new team. He spent the last four years serving as LaDainian Tomlinson's backup in San Diego.

Brown was responsible for five touchdowns, including his first career TD pass and four rushing scores, as the Dolphins ended the New England Patriots' 21-game regular-season winning streak with a 38-13 victory Sunday.

Brown rushed for 113 yards on 17 carries en route to his first career weekly honor. He also tossed a 19-yard TD pass to tight end Anthony Fasano, becoming the first Dolphin running back to throw a touchdown since Terry Kirby in 1995.

Dawkins had 10 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in Sunday's 15-6 triumph over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also played in his 170th game for the Eagles, surpassing Chuck Bednarik for second place on the franchise list.

Cromartie made a career-high nine tackles with two interceptions, including a 52-yard touchdown return, in Monday night's 48-29 triumph over the New York Jets. Cromartie leads the NFL with 12 interceptions since 2007.

Carney's 22-yard game-winning field goal in Sunday's 26-23 overtime victory over the Cincinnati Bengals helped him collect his 13th career weekly award, tying him with Joe Montana and Jerry Rice for fourth all-time. He made four field goals in the contest.

Scobee also made a game-winning field goal, a 51-yarder with four seconds left in regulation during Sunday's 23-21 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Scobee connected on two other field goals in the key AFC South matchup.
