Giants T McKenzie, WR Hixon suffer concussions
Oct 5, 2008 - 10:21 PM EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- The New York Giants saw starting offensive tackle Kareem McKenzie and emerging wide receiver Domenik Hixon both suffer concussions in Sunday's 44-6 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.McKenzie was replaced by Kevin Boothe with just over five minutes remaining in the first half.
Three plays after McKenzie left the game, Hixon sustained a helmet-to-helmet hit from cornerback Josh Wilson following a 16-yard reception. Neither player returned in the second half.
Hixon, who replaced suspended starter Plaxico Burress, finished with four catches for 102 yards and a touchdown.
