EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin announced Monday that two of his players suffering from concussions were "improved."

Otherwise, Coughlin was unable to shed much light on the conditions of starting offensive tackle Kareem McKenzie and wide receiver Domenik Hixon, who both were injured in Sunday's 44-6 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

"Both McKenzie and Hixon were improved this morning and we are hoping that with the extra day that they will be cleared (to practice)," Coughlin said.

McKenzie was replaced by Kevin Boothe with just over five minutes remaining in the first half.

Three plays after McKenzie left the game, Hixon sustained a helmet-to-helmet hit from cornerback Josh Wilson following a 16-yard reception. Neither player returned in the second half.

Hixon, who replaced suspended starter Plaxico Burress, finished with four catches for 102 yards and a touchdown.
