Rams T Pace out at least two weeks
Nov 18, 2008 - 1:13 AM ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- The St. Louis Rams will be without offensive lineman Orlando Pace for at least the next two weeks and possibly the rest of the season, according to the team's web site. The seven-time Pro Bowler will miss two to four weeks with a grade-two sprain of his medial collateral ligament which he suffered during Sunday's 35-16 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
With just six weeks remaining in the season, Rams coach Jim Haslett said he would speak with Pace about his potential options - including placement on injured reserve for the third straight campaign.
"That is something that we will have to discuss," Haslett said. "But right now he is 2-4 (weeks) so I am going to talk to Orlando and see what he thinks."
Pace spent the majority of the last two seasons on injured reserve with shoulder and biceps injuries.
"At this point, you've almost got to laugh about it," Pace said. "It's been a frustrating last few years for me."
No one has shouted yet.
