Dolphins sign WR Camarillo to extension

Nov 20, 2008 - 4:51 PM MIAMI (Ticker) -- The Miami Dolphins have locked up wide receiver Greg Camarillo for the next few years.

Citing an NFL source, The Miami Herald reported late Wednesday that the team has signed Camarillo to a 3-year extension worth around $6 million. The deal will keep the 26-year-old in Miami through the 2011 season.

Camarillo, who leads the team with 49 catches for 538 yards in his second season, would have been a free agent at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old, who earns a base salary of $445,000, entered the season with eight NFL catches, including a 64-yard game-winner during the team's only victory last season against Baltimore.
