Redskins LB Fletcher day-to-day with foot injury
Nov 25, 2008 - 9:51 PM ASHBURN, Virginia (Ticker) -- Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher is listed as day-to-day after suffering a sprained foot in last week's 20-17 victory at Seattle.Fletcher, the Redskins' leading tackler, has made 130 consecutive starts.
Losing Fletcher would leave the Redskins further shorthanded on defense as they prepare for Sunday's game against the New York Giants, who boast the NFL's top rushing offense.
Defensive end Andre Carter suffered a slight tear of the plantar fascia against the Seahawks and also is listed as day-to-day.
Linebacker Marcus Washington is not expected to play against the Giants as he continues to recover from a high ankle sprain that knocked him out of the Redskins' game against the Dallas Cowboys on November 16.
