Bills QB Edwards day-to-day with groin injury

Dec 1, 2008 - 8:42 PM ORCHARD PARK, New York (Ticker) -- Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards is day-to-day after suffering a groin injury in Sunday's 10-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Bills coach Dick Jauron on Monday said that Edwards was "very sore."

"They'll do some tests and whatever they need to do in the training room," Jauron said. "We'll have more information, but I don't know how much more information we will have unless the soreness goes away."

Edwards sustained the injury early in Sunday's game. He remained in the contest, completing 10-of-21 passes for 112 yards before the half. J.P. Losman replaced him in the second half.

"As I said after the game, he felt it early, he played through it and then really felt it the last throw of the first half. It really pained him then," Jauron said. "And of course then he couldn't go on, he couldn't push off so we made the change at halftime."

Edwards has 2,378 passing yards, 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions on the season.

Losman completed 11-of-17 passes for 93 yards Sunday.
