Team Report
Record: 7-5 Next opponent: at Baltimore, December 7 The Redskins inducted the late Sean Taylor into their Ring of Fame prior to Sunday's 23-7 loss to the New York Giants. It marked the one-year anniversary of Taylor's untimely death, when the Pro Bowl safety was fatally shot during a botched robbery attempt at his Miami home. Redskins RB Clinton Portis honored his former teammate by running on to the field holding a flag bearing Taylor's No. 21. The Redskins also honored Taylor by displaying the No. 21 at midfield instead of the team logo. "I noticed (Taylor's number at midfield) during the game," Portis said. "I think this is a classy organization. That's the way you're supposed to pay tribute to a fallen soldier." ... Portis suffered a neck stinger when he was tackled following a 15-yard reception in the second quarter. But he returned to the game in the next series.
