Predators acquire Belak from Panthers for Tarnasky
Nov 27, 2008 - 10:21 PM NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Nashville Predators added some veteran toughness Thursday, acquiring right wing Wade Belak from the Florida Panthers for center Nick Tarnasky.Belak, 32, has recorded no points and 25 penalty minutes in 15 games with Florida this season.
The 6-5, 221-pound Belak has eclipsed 100 penalty minutes seven times in a 12-year career spent with Florida, Toronto, Calgary and Colorado.
Tarnasky, 24, has one assist in 11 games this season. The four-year veteran has scored 11 goals and 21 points in 180 career games with Nashville and Tampa Bay.
