MANCHESTER, England (Ticker) -- Everton kept its Champions League dreams alive at the expense of Manchester City with a 2-0 road win Monday.

Ayegbeni Yakubu scored his 16th goal of the season in the 30th minute and Joleon Lescott added a second goal eight minutes later for the visitors.

The result means Everton regains the fourth spot from Liverpool after stretching its unbeaten run in the Premier League to seven games.

City's misery was complete in stoppage time, when Martin Petrov was sent off for kicking out at Leon Osman.
